1. Spindle unit

The spindle unit is a key component of the entire equipment. The price generally depends on two points: the equipment speed and the cooling method. The common machining center speed on the market is usually 8000 rpm, which can be increased or decreased according to the actual processing needs. The price is different for different spindle speeds. Cooling equipment is also one of the indispensable parts of the spindle. The equipment will generate a lot of heat under high-speed processing. The heat of high chips attached to the machine tool workbench and the workpiece surface will not only affect the processing accuracy of the workpiece, but also cause damage to the equipment. The cooling system is indispensable, usually divided into water cooling and oil cooling.

2. CNC system

The CNC system can be said to be the core component with a large price gap. Imported CNC systems are more expensive, while domestic CNC systems are cheaper. At present, imported systems such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens are more common in the market. One thing to note is that imported systems are usually bundled with three-axis servo motors, that is, if the system is purchased from Fanuc, you must purchase Fanuc's servo drive and motor, which undoubtedly increases the purchase burden and capital budget. In addition, domestic CNC systems can be selected in occasions where the processing requirements are not high and the capital budget is limited.

3. Tool magazine

When we have written the CNC program and debugged the spindle speed, we will start the processing operation. The working parts of the machining center should also make a shining appearance, that is, the tool magazine. The tool magazine is a container for the machining center to store tools, and the tool is the part that directly performs drilling, milling and cutting operations on the workpiece. Common tool magazines are classified into disc-type tool magazines and bamboo-hat-type tool magazines. The price difference of the tool magazine is reflected in the number of tools and the tool change speed. The disc-type tool magazine is equipped with a manipulator, which can complete the tool change operation in about three seconds. It is also called a manipulator tool magazine, and the price is higher than the bamboo-hat-type tool magazine. At present, Taiwan's tool magazine technology belongs to the world's advanced ranks. Brands such as Xindai and Baoyuan are widely used in domestic machining center brands and occupy a large market share.

4. Bearings and screws

Bearings are mainly used to support mechanical selection bodies, reduce the friction coefficient during movement, and ensure rotation. In machining center equipment, bearings are mainly used on screws to drive the screws to rotate. In addition to the rigidity, anti-collision and anti-wear properties of the lead screw, the bearing is the main factor affecting the price of the lead screw. At present, the high-end bearing market is relatively high-end Swiss and Japanese brands. The performance of Japanese NSK bearings is suitable for use in machining center lead screws, but the price is relatively high. If only low-end and medium-end machining center equipment is needed in daily production, you can choose to use domestic bearings.

5. Hard rails and linear rails

Hard rails refer to castings in which the guide rails and the bed are integrated, and then the guide rails are processed on the basis of the castings. Linear rails usually refer to rolling guides, which are the ones often used in linear modules in the machine tool industry, and are also commonly called linear guides. The rails have fast speed and good precision. Hard rails have good rigidity, heavy load, and strong heavy cutting ability. There is no difference between the two, and they should be selected according to specific processing needs.
