Various cutting methods of CNC machining centers

1. Reciprocating cutting:

The reciprocating cutting method of CNC machining center is to generate reciprocating parallel cutting tool guides, maintain continuous motion in stepping motion, and remove materials without lifts. The most economical and easiest cutting motion. This cutting method coexists with down milling and reverse milling. If wall finishing is enabled for the operation, it will affect the tool track direction of wall finishing, thereby maintaining whether the wall finishing is pure down milling or reverse milling.

2. Single-way cutting:

The single-way cutting method generates parallel single-way cutting tool guides. The reciprocating travel is a high-speed travel motion. No cuts are generated when returning, so it affects the processing efficiency. Single-way cutting can always maintain consistent down milling or reverse milling cutting, and is usually used in cases where the reciprocating cutting method is not applicable, such as surface processing of islands and some wall ribs. It is usually used as surface finish.

3. Single-way cutting along the contour:

The single-way cutting along the contour of the CNC machining center is used to generate tool paths in parallel, unidirectional, along the contour, always maintain down milling, or create reverse milling cutting. The wall quality of machining is better than mutual cutting and unidirectional cutting, the cutting is relatively smooth, and it does not affect the tool, so it is usually used to process parts with high requirements on the side wall or thin-walled parts.

4. Follow the peripheral cutting:

The "follow cutting" method is mainly used to generate tool paths that are concentric along the contour sequence. This tool path is obtained by offsetting the surrounding contour, and all trajectories are displayed in a closed form in the machining area. The tool path that follows the surrounding cutting is a tool path for continuous cutting, without co-cutting, and basically can maintain simple down milling or reverse milling, so the cutting efficiency is high and the machining quality remains unchanged. It is usually used for rough machining of parts with islands and inner cavities.

5. Follow the workpiece cutting:

The CNC machining center generates a series of tool paths (outer walls of the contour area and islands of the contour area) for contour machining of all specified contours of parts machined along the workpiece cutting method. These tool path shapes are obtained by offsetting the outer contour and island contour of the cutting area. The tool path that follows the workpiece cutting is a tool path for continuous cutting, learning CNC programming group.

Help you. If there is no blank cutting, simple down milling or reverse milling can be maintained, so the cutting efficiency is high, the cutting stability and processing quality are maintained, and it is often used in the cavity processing area where the island is located.

6. Cycloidal cutting:

The cycloidal cutting method of the CNC machining center is used to generate small circles around the contour, and the overall tool cuts in during cutting to prevent excessive material from being cut. Cycloidal cutting is suitable for high-speed machining with relatively uniform cutting loads.
