1 Scope


This standard specifies the operation and maintenance procedures of vertical lathes.


This standard applies to the operation and maintenance procedures of vertical lathes.


2 Normative references


The clauses in the following documents become the clauses of this standard through reference in this standard. For all dated references, all subsequent amendments (excluding errata) or revisions are not applicable to this standard. However, parties that reach an agreement based on this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For all undated references, the latest versions apply to this standard.


3 Operating procedures


3.1 The operator must be familiar with the general performance, structure, and rotation system of the lathe. It is strictly forbidden to use the equipment beyond its performance.


3.2 Before work:


3.2.1 Check whether the operating handle, switch, knob, is in the correct position, whether the operation is flexible, and whether the limit and safety devices are complete and reliable.


3.2.2 Turn on the power, run the empty car at low speed, and if there is any abnormality, stop the machine for inspection or report to the repairman.


3.2.3 Check whether the liquid level indicated in the oil gauge is appropriate, whether the oil circuit is unobstructed, and add enough lubricating oil at the specified location.


3.2.4 Run the machine at low speed for 3-5 minutes without load, and start working only after confirming that the lubrication, electrical system and all parts are operating normally.


3.3 During work:


3.3.1 It is strictly forbidden to use beyond the performance.


3.3.2 It is forbidden to place objects on the guide surface, beam surface, etc. of the machine tool.


3.3.3 It is strictly forbidden to knock, straighten and trim the workpiece on the work surface.


3.3.4 The clamping of workpieces and tools must be firm and reliable.


3.3.7 Use the tool holder rotation device and clamping mechanism correctly.


3.3.8 Reasonably select the speed and cutting amount.


3.3.9 When the machine tool is running, the operator is strictly prohibited from leaving the work station.


3.3.10 If any abnormal phenomenon occurs during operation, the machine should be stopped immediately, the cause should be found out and handled in time.


3.4 After work:


3.4.1 All operating handles, switches and knobs must be placed in the stop position and the power supply should be cut off.


3.4.2 Perform daily maintenance.


3.4.3 Fill in the fixed equipment operation record.


4 Maintenance procedures


4.1 Carry out lubrication adjustment work according to the patrol inspection parts and lubrication chart to ensure the number of lubrication times within the shift.


4.2 Check the oil mark page and the oil supply of the oil pump.


4.3 Clean the oil holes and lubrication parts of each part and cover them with dustproof covers.


4.4 During operation, according to the change of different processing materials, do a good job of chip cleaning and oil filling and lubrication.


4.4 Before leaving work, wipe the bed surface, spindle box, tool box and dust and iron chips of various parts, and apply anti-rust oil.
